Free shield kits are available now. Find out how you can help get healthcare workers needed face shields.
24” by 48” sheets for shield material are received in stacks of 100 pieces.
Filtered compressed air is used to remove most dust and light debris that may exist.
The sheets are cut into 3 - 16” x 24” pieces in order to fit our laser.
These pieces are loaded individually into the laser and 2 shields are cut from each in 67 seconds.
Each side of each shield is carefully wiped with a microfiber cloth.
Kits are made of 50 each shield cutouts, headbands, and tube cinches.
The kits are distributed to volunteers to fold and assemble.
The returned completed shields are individually visually inspected, adjusted, and cleaned or discarded, if necessary.
Shields are nested in groups of 10 or 20 and placed in new poly bags with instructions and left open.
Once the shield count reaches 100 to 150 they are placed in our outdoor ozone chamber for sanitizing.
After approximately 4 hours the shields are allowed to air out in the chamber for at least another hour.
The poly bags are immediately sealed upon their removal from the chamber.
The packaged shields are now ready for delivery.
